About the Founder and C.E.O.

L. Serenity Parker

L. Serenity Parker was a little girl with big dreams who was raised in the Deep South with church values and military structure in Mobile, AL. She began writing in the third grade to escape reality, to express her feelings to her beloved, deceased grandmother and by the inspiration of the Civil Rights Movement, the Harlem Renaissance, Sidney Poitier, Lena Horne, Maya Angelou, Oprah Winfrey, Denzel Washington, Toni Morrison, Terri McMillan, Eric Jerome Dickey, Tyler Perry and so many more. At the age of 17, Serenity wrote her first script entitled, "Black Butterfly." She followed this up with a poem that was inspired by the murder of her friend entitled "This Time."  Serenity knew she had a higher calling in the creative field of entertainment; however, she just didn’t know how to get there.

In 2002, God made a way. While Serenity kept her dream alive by writing while in college and working, she had a chance meeting with Gar Roberts (formerly of BET Jazz) and Teddy Pendergrass. Once she submitted her first script (Black Butterfly) that she wrote at 17 years old and poetry to Pendergrass and Roberts, the game changed. They gave her parents a call and said she had something special. Teddy Pendergrass and Gar Roberts were Serenity’s mentors to learn the business behind the music and screen, and they all remained close until the untimely passing of the legend, Teddy Pendergrass who was much like a father-figure on tour to Serenity.

In 2005, Serenity began working at Integrity Media under the direction of Jackie Pattillo and this is where she learned about A&R, public relations, red carpet events, marketing, signing deals and contracts, etc. She worked with Contemporary Gospel recording artists such as Israel & The New Breed, Lisa McClendon, Bebe & CeCe Winans, Darkchild’s first ever Gospel Recording Artists Virtue, Mary Mary, Hillsong, Charles & Taylor and many more in 2005. After the company went out of business due to the rise of the digital age, Serenity loved public relations so much that she continued working with artists such as Converted Soul, Canton Jones, Mr. Del, Lisa McClendon, The Grammy-Nominated group the GRITS, etc.

She then began doing public relations independently while doing production work in 2015 with comedian Pierre Edwards, Comedian Capone with the NY Kings of Comedy, Comedian Kareem "Plug" Chapman, recording artist and actor Lil Zane. In 2017 she landed her first film/television client, actor Jermaine Rivers (Shatter) from Marvel/Fox's hit series The Gifted and CBS's MacGyver. Her dream came true when her firm was approved by the OWN network to promote her client Yohance Myles and the hit tv show Ambitions. Serenity has supported nonprofits such as Cxmmunity based out of Atlanta, GA, Fulton County's launch of F.A.C.E. (Fashion, Art, Culture and Education, etc. As founder and CEO of The Stellar PR Firm Serenity Parker is passionate, loyal and 100% committed to delivering top-notch service for her clients.
